Beautiful People

I just got back from Streetlight Ministries where I spoke on "Why We Need a Saviour" at the year-end Kid's Club.

It was a humbling experience, to say the least.

I think God is pushing me into the ground to teach me a lesson. I definitely need it.

Thanks, God.

man: Hi. You look like my nephew. Is your name Peter?

me: no, my name is Ryan.

man: well, you are not my nephew then. Do you love the Lord Ryan?

me: yes, I do.

man: Then you are my brother.

I want to be in the light

I don't really care if people think that I'm a Jesus Freak.

I just bought DC Talk's Jesus Freak

dear catastrophe waitress:

It could have been a brilliant career.

Last night I went to Streetlight with my youth group for the evening drop-in service. It was awesome! The atmosphere there is so loving. People really care about you. I was really struck by the joy that the people took in the Lord. I was talking to one woman named Evelyn who was so interesting. She would bring everything we talked about back to the Lord. She kept saying over and over "I really do love the Lord!" and then she would smile really big.

I love people like that.

I really do love the Lord.

love,

Ryan

A blog

wow, these last couple of weeks have flown by! Working all the time makes it really difficult to check the email and update the blog.

Maybe I am really out of shape, but work is hitting me really hard this year. Usually when I start after the school year and it takes me about a week to adjust to the physical activity and different sleeping pattern...but it's been almost 3 weeks and I am still completely exhausted at the end of every day. I get home from work at roughly 7:00 and a have about 2 hours to get all me stuff done before I crash. By the end of the week I'm so tired that it takes me all weekend to become somewhat not tired again, and by then it's time to go back to work. It's crazy...I don't know how people do this all the time.

I'm not complaining, I actually really enjoy my job, but a little more sleep would be great.

Oh well, only a month till camp. Then I can be exhausted in a different sort of way.
