Stephane Dion

“For children, poverty is about pretending you forgot your lunch, being afraid to tell your mother that you need gym shoes. It means being sick for every class trip and saying, ‘Sorry, I can't come,' to invitations to friends' birthday parties.”

- Stephane Dion, leader of the Liberal Part of Canada

mostly, I just mean that not being able to go on a field trip is not poverty. I'm not saying it's not a problem, I just think Stephane Dion is being overly dramatic.
In retrospect, it would have been good to post a link the article.
